Stepmania grading issue

So I have this issue in SM with the grading system where I don't get AAs when I should. A couple of screenshots to compare

Here's my score on this song:


And here's Walrusizer's score on the same song:


As you can see mine should be a AA but isn't and I can't figure out what the problem is. If anyone knows that would be awesome.

Compare GradeWeight metrics in the ScoreKeeperNormal section and GradePercentTier metrics in the PlayerStageStats section, and you'll probably see that they're different.
The grading and scoring system isn't fixed, the theme can set it to whatever the author feels like.

It seems the metrics for Staiainv13 doesn't have anything that says GradeWeight or ScoreKeeperNormal

If those metrics are different between two themes, percentage scores will come out different.
Another thing to notice is that the percentage score for the score with 1679 fantastics is higher, so the grade difference might be due to a difference in the grade tier metrics.

Would this be what you're talking about?

Those are for the percent score. You want GradeWeight and GradePercentTier; since what you pasted appears to be from SM 3.9x, they'll be in StepMania.ini (which I assume you're already looking in).

The grade should indeed be a (DDRMAX) AA since it's definitely above the cutoff, by the way.

So I found the GradePercentTiers

GradePercentTier07=-99999.000000

Problem is I still can't find the GradeWeight. When I try to find it with ctrl+f it says there's nothing that says gradeweight.

Are you checking in general metrics.ini or your theme metrics file?

I use 3.9 so I'm probably irrelevant to your problem but there was always two ways of doing metric work so just offering that possibility

It's because of your high miss count. If you get enough misses, your percentage doesn't matter.

Maybe, I would check in the other metric.ini file that isn't attached to your theme and see if what Kyzentun and Arcorann posted is there.

@ShadowDueler, you probably ran an ITG theme and those tend to screw up grading across all themes on 3.95.

Your percentage display is correct, while the GradeWeight values you just posted seem to be ITG standard, so change the GradeWeight to match the ones from this post:
