i know this is a piss-easy song for everyone but i've only been playing custom songs/dwis for 1 week. and i was wondering how long it took everyone to get from where i am now to where you are currently. and any tips would be greatly appreciated.

One tip I can give you is to use much faster scroll rates.

Most everyone uses 4x for that song. It might take a while to get used to it, but you'll find arrows MUCH easier to read and your MA/PA will go up because of it.

You mean themes? nostopballa's is Trance Machina 3. Themes can be downloaded at the StepMania message boards (go to stepmania.com and then click "DDRManiaX BB") in the section "themes".
