bit torent?

how do i work these things? im kinda new to it so i would like to know.... cuz i cant get anything form this site http://www.ddramerica.com/bttracker/

Check out www.Shareaza.com . Shareaza is a bit complex for some people, but most say it's better than using the program "BitTorrent". Personally, I think torrents should be used for big files only, not stepfiles (This is in the stepmania section, after all...)

I use azereus. It's really good and it has built in irc. It lets you pause and resume, etc. Bittorrent is a peer to peer program in which there are seeders, people who have 100% of the file and are letting leechers, people who download, download parts from that. Bittorrent downloads parts in blocks, so leechers also download from leechers who have that specific block. This way, everyone wins. Successful torrents have lots of seeders who keep their downloads open after they are completed. People who immediately stop being a seeder are bad for the bittorrent because they are being selfish and do not offer higher download speeds for others.

so if it isnt a well known file, or used file it wont download very fast?, i have the bitorrent program but it takes forever for anything to dl... is that why?
