HELP!!! Stepmania and DWI, one folder

PLEASE HELP!! I only have so much space on my computer, and i have all my songs in my stepmania folder. I downloaded DWI, and i kinda like it. I like switching between Stepmania and DWI, so is there a way that i can have both programs link to the one folder with all the songs in it? Thanks!
P.S. Ive tried making a shortcut for the songs folder on DWI to the songs folder in stepmania, but it doesnt work!

I tried that, and it didnt work, i dunno y. DWI didnt register that i had any songs!
