    .sm/.dwi problems etc.

I'm having problems with newly created .dwi and .sm

I can create construct charts just fine, and play them all the fxck I want, but when I view the song folder where the .sm and dwi should be there is nothing but a .mp3 and a 0kb .sm

    halp

    On other notes,
I can't view my Screenshots. I made a ss folder hoping it would work but nope.
I also can not play solo either because sm just crashes while loading the chart.

which version of SM are you using?

are you positive you're looking in the right directory for the simfile? once you save anything, that data has to be stored somewhere. 0kb = not the right file.

screenshots depend on the SM version. 3.9 has 'em right there in the SM directory with everything else. for SM5, it's AppData -> Roaming -> StepMania 5 -> Screenshots.

I used to have some problems (not this problem specifically) because of a theme I was using on SM, who knows

Vista/W7 likes to hide the folders in Compatibility Files as seen here

click it and you'll find all the folders you're missing. just move it back to its original location

^ ahhhh, that's more than likely the answer. I should've known it was some windows buffoonery.
