My comp doesent accept left+down+up arrows neither does it accept all four at once. And since im getting better at this game, half of the songs I play have 3 and 4 button combos. I do really good until I get to the combos. What annoys me is that it accepts right+down+up and left+down+right. Argh. Help!

It won't accept left+up+right either.
Either get a double setup or a Dell keyboard.I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds. -

why would a dell keyboard help? i thought that was a limitation of all keyboards....So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

Get a Microsoft Internet Keyboard. $19.99, and handles triples and quads perfectly as far as I can tell. The only problems that seem to come up are with rapid quads.
And if the majority of the hard songs you have have triples and quads, then you need to get some better hard songs.

That's not true at all, LD. GOOD keyboards can accept about 7 at a time. Good != USB. This HP keyboard of mine is about 8 years old. It has media player options and no slope on the arrow keys (Teh Perfect for SM / FFR). I can hit all 4 at once without the internal CPU beep.

PS2's can handle more than 2, depending on which 2 u press. all the ones i have ever had were standard, comes-with-the-PC type keyboards. if i understand correctly, i'll need to get a better keyboard to do any massive key pressing...oh well, i'm too cheap for that.So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

My keyboard has a slope on the arrow keys
I don't mind it, but it makes my boyfriend slip when he tries to play over here. And I do prefer it without the slope. What's it for anyway? o.O

The quad 16ths NVLM keeps putting in his hard sims are absolutely idiotic. Someone needs to convince him to stop putting those in, as they come close to ruining some of his steps.
Anyway, my arrow keys won't register quad 16ths either, so I just set up the numbers 1-4 as alternate arrow keys for the arrows, and just mash those with my left hand whenever the quad 16ths appear.

It has nothing to do with the keyboard connection, it's completly based off of the way the circuit board is made, you probably couldn't tell unless you tried it. Cheaper keyboards might be more likely to have this problem, but I wouldn't say it's a guarantee.Originally posted by MrESqueekThat's not true at all, LD. GOOD keyboards can accept about 7 at a time. actually, yes it does. a PS2 port can only accept so much data at a time, so pressing 80 keys at once overflows it. USB allows for much more to flow through it, so u can press every key and it would register each one. i dont see how the circuitry would have anything to do with it, man...Originally posted by zhekIt has nothing to do with the keyboard connectionSo I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
