Stepmania Issues

having some issues playing SM with 64 bit Windows 7

First major problem is that there's random freezes/buzzes. Freezes are just the entire file/arrows/mp3 stopping but the game is still running. Buzzes are when the computer freezes up and repeats the last sound.

Second is that I noticed my MA window is off. Like the MA window is just past the arrow receptors and not in the middle of the receptors (perfects tend to lie in the middle of the receptors).

Any way to fix either of those?

random freezes for me only happen when my HD is having trouble reading the disk. chkdsk make sure all is gravy. as for the timing windows just change your global offset so the marv window lies where you think it should

got some other kind of problem.
The arrows are actually fitting the beat itself and the offset is nice etc, but for some reason i just installed StepMania 5.0 and now i have some delay when hitting the arrows?!, some1 got a solution for that problem?
i hit the arrows correctly but its always a great or good , although i hit the beat flawlessly ...
