Help with 3.95 themes..

Hi guys.

I think my StepMania is messed up somehow - I don't think it's calculating the grades & dance points correctly.

Also, I can't seem to turn mines on.. even at the options screen.
I set mines to "on" but in EVERY single game, it's always back to "no mines."

I'm currently using the Shalim theme or something for SM 3.95, and I feel the need to change..

Could somebody point me to the right direction for themes that are like leonid/Staiain's? Their theme shows dance points on the results screen and seem to have combo off to the side (not sure about this) - and it seems like their dance points are calculated correctly. I'm not sure if leonid/stai use sm 3.9 or sm 3.95 but if they do use 3.9, could somebody confirm with me and link me to respective themes? thanks

I remember I had the problem of "no mines" being sticked upon and the only solution I had was to switch the theme to a working one (hence "default" is a 100% success choice), change that setting "on" and play a song. Then get back on your ol' theme.

About the score, did you check the Machine Options to see if the settings were settled on MAX2 and not 5th ?

i'm not sure but when using the shalim theme, it'll show your highest score + its DP on the song selection screen

some songs i have over 93.0%+ on, but that score was not an AA
kinda makes me wonder if I actually AA'd or the DP scoring is screwed up for this theme








edit: tried switching to default, finish a song with no mines, then switched back

it still not working no mines stickied on in shalim theme.
glass theme works fine tho.... so i guess im just gnona play glass theme from now on -_-

Hmm...while we're on that, I noticed a funny thing on the SM5 build. At the song wheel, it shows the DP you got on your PR1 machine score run...if you get better DP% but lower MS, that's not updated. Makes fix wars even more frustrating.

To turn off no mines, just alternately hit the left and right arrows (whatever you're using for left and right) which resets all of your mods including no mines and it'll work.

I use sm5 with ultralight theme.

My theme doesn't have combo off to the side
You need to manually edit percentage score calc scheme to make it give the correct DP score.

The thing about SM5 is that it's kinda stable, but still in progress. The MS isn't working too well though, and you might have to up your Cmod on SM5.
Ultralight's a pretty minimalistic theme, I revommend that.

Have you tried readding Shalim?

i've tried re-adding Shalim and it still sticks "no mines" on every song so i think i'm gonna switch over to sm5 + ultralight theme

On your metrics.ini, change from MinesDefault=mod,no NoMines,NoMines to MinesDefault=mod,no nomines,no mines

i need some more help!

how do i make it so that....

1) combo is off to the side
2) judgement still stays near middle
3) judgement is less flashy (marvelous pops out too much)


also.. scoring on sm5 seems weird
like, songs that used to be out of 100m or 200m are now out of like 40m 60m etc wtf
