O2Jam Offline

O2Mania is an offline version of O2Jam which enables players to practice without having to go online ^^

I came across O2Mania in english version while searching for places to download O2Mania. The originally O2Mania was really confusing, I couldn’t even start the music -.-” So, after succeeding in downloading the english version, I was really happy lol The program is easier to work with too ^^ As O2Jam is having server problems at the moment and I’m itching to play music, Here’s a treat for those who are lazy to go search for the english version to download (I admit, it was hard to find and download >.< so I understand) Enjoy! XD

Instructions:
1. create a folder called music ( or anything )

2. download the song pack.

3. extract all the files to the folder u created

4. open o2mania

5. press file then configure folders

6. press the first “…” button

7. find the folder that you extracted your files to

8. press “ok” then “ok” again

9. press F8 or press file > open

10. press the refresh button on the bottom right corner of the Select Music window.

11. choose your song and the level

12. press “ok” at the bottom right corner.

13. press F6 to play the song for yourself OR press F5 to enable auto play.

I remember when I found 02Mania, the only thing I don't like is that you don't get a final score screen. When the song ends, that's it, no end results.

Well yeah, but I mean there is no "official" ending result screen. Like in the original o2jam, another whole screen appears to show you how many goods, perfects, etc you got.

theres a better offline client called o2solista. mania is laggy as hell with my experience and the only thing i like it for is the music rate option

Also, this game is pretty damn challenging. the space bar throw me off o.o and I have a bit of a problem with the collaboration... I noticed I have to hit the keys a little early to get 'cool'. Is it supposed to be like that? Can I change it?

No problem, and I'm not entirely sure, I don't have the game downloaded.

And 02mania is originally in a different language, not english.

o2mania timing is a little off, you have to hit slightly earlier

IDK how to change that but you can set the judge/timing difficulty of o2mania (it defaults on "normal", which is slightly looser than o2jam imo, theres "easy" and "hard" too) via the menu

Biggest advantage of o2mania is the file isolation system. When you select a song and press enter, you can drag the notechart using the mouse+left click. You can assign a start marker using Ctrl+F1 and an end marker using Ctrl+F2. If you press F6 to start the song, the song will play from the start~end marker (its a very nifty file isolation feature, allowing you to practice hard parts of songs). To clear markers press Ctrl+F3

Press F8 to select music. on the bottom left, you can select if you want normal/mirror/random/panic patterns too. You can also set dark/hidden/sudden if desired

Oh and u must hit notes before yes, and release holds later too.

Oh damn identity part 2 songs like crap when i play it now :'(. gotta get back into it before i start playing against ffr people lol.
