    Global Offset Help (SM)

I had my Global Offset changed from 0 because all of my songs had been offsync and I hadn't felt like changing them all individually, but I had to reinstall SM and now the value I set it to reverted back to 0.

Is there any way anyone can help me figure out what to set my Global Offset to?

So, what, I gotta auto-sync every song? Because that's just terribly annoying and I really don't want to do that. There's gotta be SOME easier way than auto sync.

              guess and check

or, if you're resyncing every song anyway you should be changing the offset by the same amount every time (assuming you're playing properly synced songs) in which case just use that number

An easy way is to get Rynker's Tricky Disco simfile, and then sync the Global Offset to that. It'll be as accurate as the AC.

Rynker's TD chart is a good thing to sync to IF he's working on pad charts. If he's dealing with keyboard charts, it's quite difficult to make a general offset since people have different machine offsets of their own. It's just best to go through the syncing job of each file. Play your SM normally--if you play a song that's offsync, re-sync it while playing (F11/F12), and then either play the song again, or just move on.

I agree. It would be nice to try it out anyway, see how you feel.
