    Drum Rhythm Game...

Would it be possible to put sensors on a drum set. And then put up a scripted game where you have to hit each part of the drum set according to the symbol going up the screen?

You could have a small line of each part of the drum (like FFR arrows) and every time a symbol or arrow flew up to it you would hit the corresponding part of the drum. Would it be possible/accurate?

I think it would be fun with any instrument. Imagen having a fully fledged rhythm game for a whole band. Each instrument had sensors on every button and they had to play with accuracy as a test. O.O I think I might just do this for my own Saxophone. And see how it works out. =/

Doesn't this sound kinda like rock band to you?
    lol, you know, only better/real

Edit: hmmm... to answer your question, yes, but it would take considerable work developing a sensor that can withstand/register higher level drumming.

You could probably set up impact mics and hook them up to the computer. From there you could figure out a way for each sound to register as a button press. Then you could make SM files with one button per drum you're using and write files based on that.

Seems like it's more trouble than it's worth with Rock Band out Tuesday.
