    Aftershock

ok, so my ignition 3.0 just died and since that was my 3rd pad in 5 years im looking for something a little more durable so i setelled on the idea of getting a metal pad. the Aftershock caught my eye due to the overall features and glamerous looks. so this leads me to two questions:

    A) is this even a good pad, or is there better for cheaper

    B) is there a site that you reccomend that has a good selection, reasonable prices, and warranties.

if you have a suggestion please post and thank you so very much!

For that money I'd suggest a Cobalt Flux or BlueShark, although I've never heard of an Aftershock so I can't really say much. See if someone here owns one and give feedback. I've never had a problem with my Cobalt Flux.

CFs noly connect to PS2 but you can get a PS2>whatever adaptor pretty cheap.

        Blueshark: http://www.mymybox.com/ddrmbsgxg365.html - I don't own one but I've heard good things.

One thing you should know about Cobalt Fluxes is the arrows aren't sunken into the pad, which pretty much means it's REALLY hard to tell where you're stepping. I've only played on one once, and it was totally awkward. I'm sure you'd get used to it though. I'm not trying to change your mind, because I know Cobalt Fluxes are awesome. I'm just letting you know.

I myself have an old Ignition, but nowadays they suck so good choice getting a metal.

It takes maybe 3-5 gameplays to get used to it. It's not that hard to adjust. Now I really can't tell the difference between arcade and home play.

Check stepmania.com. It lists all adaptors and how compatible they are with dance pads.
