I bought some foam dance pads off ebay for a good price, but I'm sorta disappointed in them. The bad thing is that they slide around on my shag carpet alot on heavy songs. Any ideas on how to make them stay in place? I thought about grabbing some metal and hammering the pad to the metal, but that might destroy the whole pad. Any ideas?

Re: Question
Yah, shag might not be the best suface for DDR. LOL.
Reguarlessly, I wouldn't risk pounding metal to it. The durability of the pads are questionionable, seeing as they're from Ebay. A suggestion I have is to get a piece of plywood(or any other hard surface, and taping or glueing it down to it. Just make sure you dont go over any arrows, and you should be perfect.

Re: Question
I have the same problem lol...but I'm lazy and don't feel like ruining (my now 6th DDR mat) anywho I just thought about nailing the mat to the floor...but than thought WTF my 'rents would be like "Soooooo Steven...I happened to notice some nails ends sticking outta the ceiling...ummm yeah *gives mean looks* Wanna explain?" My simple answer would be to walk away and put more nails cause four deff isn't enough...and I'm not tryin to be silly...I'm quite serious..there's a effen hole in my wall (Which I covered up with a Ninja Gaiden Poster
) because I got sick of the mat moving...but that wood idear is looking pretty solid...I've heard it before but I'm just to lazy to go off and steal one from my friends house.

Seriously though, that was a good idea, but now the plywood slides around on my floor *sigh*.Comment

Re: Question
I was afraid that might happen. Try weighing it down with something, or get a heavier suface that would sink down into the carpet.Comment
