Step Mania help

when i go to step mania's website i try and download the version and i do but when it says where to locate the folder i put desktop(cause its easier there).well there is the icon saying stepmania 3.9 so i click it then the rectangular icon saying stepmania comes out and after awhile the screen goes black as if it were to start but then the screen goes back to my desktop and there is a message saying there was an error.WHAT DO I DO?!

It would help if you told us what the error was, but I'm pretty sure that you don't have a compatable driver for your graphics card. Find out what your current driver is. To do that you right click My Computer and click on Properties. Somewhere in there (I forget where) shows the properties of your graphics card.

Now go to StepMania's website and there should be a link there called "Video Drivers". If yours is not on there then google it and find out where you can update the latest driver. You should be able to figure out the rest.
