Has This Ever Happened. . .

Has this ever happened? When (you/someone) (is/was) a beginner and slipped off the DDR Machine Pad and everyone started laughing at (you/them) and made funny comments about it? It has many times to me. But anyway. . . Just wonderin' how many used to be on the same boat.

Once I was playing DDR right after coming into the mall from outside where it was snowing. I didn't realise how wet my shoes actually were. I went to press the back arrow and my foot slipped and I fell on my ass. Great fun. So I played barefoot the rest of the game.

[b]I\'m not obsessed with DDR, I\'m just overly enthusiastic.

Once, I was playing DDR at the local arcade when I was a newbie and I was playing some song on DDRMAX2 (cannot think of it right now) and I reached too far on the 'up' step and slipped, fell down, and hurt my ankle. Everybody (mostly other kids that used to be better than me) (I am now better) anyway. . . Everybody started laughing at me (including me) 'cause that was so funny.

P.S: All I know is that I failed the song I was playing.

I've never royally screwed up by falling off the pad or something, but I've failed a few songs pretty hard (My first go at Matsuri Japan comes to mind... I'm okay through the first half, then the break, but then they start giving me weird gallop patterns mixed with runs that took me a while to learn X_X )

And yes, CHICKS MAKING OUT indeed.

two really funny things that happened to me:

one of my local arcades has really slippery pads. like, i have no idea what's up with them; in fact i never play double on them anymore, for the following reason: in the middle of doing somewhere over the rainbow (heavy) on doulbes, i had to hit the down arrow and then the right arrow on the left pad and then the left arrow on the right pad. well, when stepping on the right arrow, i was pushing off a bit from the down arrow so i could have hte momentum to hit the left arrow on the right pad, but the pads were so slippery (and there's no water on them or anything), that the force of me pushing me off made me slide completely across the right pad, off the pad, and into some bystanders. although, to be honest, it would've been a kickass freestyle move.

the other thing... i was trying to freestyle r3, involving some spins during one of the eighth note runs. it was my first try, and when i span, my glasses went flying straight off. and i'm completely blind without my glasses. so, i got a few laughs, first for propelling my glasses several feet, then again for scrambling to put them on.

I'm not sure if it is the pads. With my old shoes, pads felt really slick, but with my new shoes they grip great to the pads. Try getting a shoe with better grip

I slipped off the pad playing Paranioa rebirth on heavy.
I was doing good, but half way through the song... woopsies.
                        It was quite funny.

yeah, ive fallen off an arcade pad twice. one on 5th playing end of the century, and the other on 7th playing MaxX Unlimited standard (i needed a warmup, hadnt played in a long time) on 5th noone was watching, and on 7th only my friend and his family. it was really funny, though. ive also fallen ON the pad on MaxX heavy, and at home on my sandstorm edit. good times

My friend was playing and she slipped off in front of the crowd that was with us, so embarrasing. But she just laughed and got right back up.
