I thought that FFR could use this thread game. I enjoyed it on another forum, so let's bring it here! Wooo.
Here's the rules...
The first post starts a word with a letter. The second post continues with another letter. . . and it goes on until a word is made. The point is to NOT make a word. You should only finish a word if it's the only possible word that can start with the letters posted previously.
Like say... the first post was an "R", and it continues "R-O-A-D-I" The only word begining with those five letters is "roadie". So then the next poster will fininsh that word and start a new one.
If someone makes a word and they don't notice, the next poster can start the next word.
If a letter someone puts does not make a word, you can ask them what they were thinking of when they posted that letter.
Don't use acronyms, proper nouns, or contractions (just like if you were playing Scrabble.)
Because many words can come from shorter words, a word must be over four letters to end.
And please: Don't just post the letter, post the word with your letter added on to it.
Here's a quick example.
1) G - - 2) GH - - 3) GHO - - 4) GHOS - - 5) GHOST. New word: J - - 6) JO
And so forth and so forth . . .
Your starting letter:
D
