Well this doesn't seem to be the only problem

I can't seem to upload pictures for comments as well =/.

I'm guessing they're fixing the profiles anyways. I hope they do it quickly though.

This was happening with new profiles only, a while ago.
Oh well, they'll have it fixed in due time.

Just chill, guys. The admins do know about it, and I'm sure that they're working out (or attempting to work out) a solution that will get us back on track with profile background. Until then, just hang tight. :P

Hmm... weird. That suggests a permission error more than just a server error.

But yeah, I didn't have one, so my profile is still safe. Until they screw something up with background colors too >.<

They aren't too secret. It's well known fact by now that these backgrounds are being worked on. I was told that they were supposed to be up by last weekend or this week... Nothing yet.

Don't worry. These things won't be down forever.

I was kinda pissed off because I made a new awesome background but then I couldn't upload it. But I made lemonade out of lemons, so to speak, and just changed some other elements of my page to work with a simple white background.

You people really shouldn't be this concerned about the background. The admins have been nagged at about it, then nagged at again, it's being worked on. I've asked Tass myself what's been going on with the backgrounds, and all I know for sure from that conversation is that they're doing what they can.

In the meantime, feel free to change your background color by using the Style Editor. If, for some mysterious reason, you can't FIND the Style Editor (and it's true, I've helped a few people in the past few days with finding it)... For those of you who don't even know what a background IS, click here and you will be directed to your profile with the Style Editor turned on.

(For future reference: The Style Editor link is really hard to miss. It's bolded, it's colored red, and... It's right under your site-wide stat widget (when you're on your profile))

Have faith in the admins... They're doing what they can for us.
