At least from what I can tell, this happens when you're jumping from profile to profile very quickly, like you catch the profile chat in mid-load and it throws it off. That's what I was doing the last time it locked me out. So what I would do is try to remember to always let the chat completely load before navigating away from any profile.

I don't know what goes into a chat reset, but I really think this should be done on a schedule, nightly if possible. For every user that complains that they can't get in, I must think that there are ten that don't say anything.

And +1 to Chaz's idea. Good thing I surf profiles with one tab and keep profile chat always open in another, probably why I haven't gotten this error. ;P

Exactly what I do. Except when I play FFR I have to close out. That's just my PC though.

synth taught me how to reset prochat... so now he's not the only one who can do it. so, if the prochat mods are getting reports of many people being locked out, let me know and i'll do a reset.

i also tested it and reset prochat a few hours ago.
