Hate to burst your bubble, admins, but it doesn't work too well.

1 - I can still see their profile.
2 - They can still see mine.
3 - If they were once your friend their "Recent Updates" still shows up. I don't want to see that my ex has a new picture or random thought.
4 - Blocking from FFR profiles doesn't block on Forum profiles. Meaning, they can still PM you.

Do you get where I'm going with this? It's hard not to troll/flame when the people you block can. Please, can we have this worked on? :/

Never had to block anyone, so I wouldn't really know... but if blocking doesn't serve the purpose of blocking, then yes, there is a problem.

Pretty much if you are blocked you cant comment them or participate in their private thoughts and stuff like that.

Tass blocked me(no clue why) and I cant comment on his file of participate in the news letters for subbies he puts out. Why Tass Why!?!?! lol.

I found that in the past, it still disabled lots of communication capability.

It would make more sense to mask profile content entirely for people who are blocked from the profile.

But, if you are blocking someone, why aren't you removing them from your friend list? That would solve the update problem for you. Although, if blocking / removing someone does not remove you from their friend list, then there is a problem.

As for profile blocks being ineffective in the forums, that is what this is for. Keep in mind that you will still have to exercise some level of maturity because you have the option of viewing all blocked posts and PMs by clicking on a link in each post / PM.

But you should exercise some level of maturity anyway and learn how to keep yourself from flaming someone without having to block them.

So you mean to say they appear in your friend updates even though you did remove them from your list? I am sorry if I misunderstood that section. If they were removed automatically when you blocked them, maybe it did not process everything correctly. It may be better to remove them manually.

That wasn't directed towards you in particular, but yes. I mean, to be personal about it, I blocked my ex because it hurt too much to see her on my updates and what not. Well, she's still there. And it still hurts me. I just want the system of blocking people to improve.

I agree that profiles should be closed off. They could appear like the "private" profiles appear; game card and profile chat only.
