Time zone.

I noticed that the User CP Options for time zones on the forum don't change the profile comment time zones...

On the forums, I used GMT -5:00... which means this thread would be started on 2AM.

If I post a comment on a profile in the same hour, it says 1AM. When I try to get in touch with people from other time zones, this becomes quite problematic. How to fix?

Profile Comment: 1AM, which means this is in GMT -4:00 time


Forum Thread: 2AM, which means this is in GMT -5:00 time


It would be nice if we could change our profile time zones. It sort of screws up my time calculations when meeting people from across the world... because I have to incorporate this one hour difference, but I forget to do so. If I want to meet SagaFro-san, who posts comments on 6:48AM according to the profile comment, I have to be up at 7:48 in GMT -5:00 etc... it gets confusing.

Yeah, mine is an hour off.

It's 1:45 for me, and it says I posted at 12:45.

I just switched it so it would be right for me lol. My time zone is supposed to be gmt -5 but for the forum I have to put -4. It might be due to the daylight savings thing but don't know for sure.

Go to User CP, edit options, change your time zone to anything that makes the forum time equal to your real time.

No, my forum time zone is fine. I need to change my profile time zone, which can't be changed by my forum options.

i think it is because profile comments (and all comments) are universal in time to the server, which means they will all be central time. there is no option to change them.

Ah, I see. No way to change it... I will have to deal with my terrible math skills and terrible memory.
