(Oct 7th) New SotW Difficulty Discussion

Hello everyone! I wanted to revive the difficulty forum by posting these threads alongside the Songs of the Week threads for a place to openly talk about the ratings specifically. Feel free to comment on the ratings given, thoughts about patterns and layouts of the chart, etc to generate discussion about the new songs coming into the game.

In honesty, I was bouncing on 30 but I settled with 29 and it might even go down another, but I'd like input before considering that as I'm calling 29 a good fit for the time being.

I think Death Moon have frame conversion issues on the 32nd walls. Hitting them like flams [1][2][34] into -> [4][3][12] still works, but that was more difficult than expected.
I tried to roll normally, but the 32nd were just not consistent enough for me. I liked the song regardless and wouldn't change its rating.

I wouldn't touch the ratings for Blue (Ashix Remix).

I feel like a 29 fits Blue (Ashix Remix). I wouldn't change it.

If Skeletor is a 77 because of the rolls then so should be Death Moon.

The rolls in Death Moon are at such a speed that allow jumptrilling to be possible. Despite the one discrepancy that Hakulyte pointed out, it's possible (if you cannot do them as legit rolls).

Skeletor on the other hand, isn't the same case. Those rolls are at such a speed where jumptrilling becomes difficult at a point (in terms of AAA'ing by jumptrilling). Also, Skeletor's rolls are much longer in duration and alternate direction.

They are most certainly not the same difficulty.

Skeletor's been frame fixed so that it's completely jumptrillable, the difficulty hasn't been moved to reflect this but it's certainly a tad easier.

I'm at work and cannot check but I believe Death Moon is 160bpm, meaning the rolls are 40bpm slower compared to Skeletor when converted to 16ths....in addition to being much shorter in duration. 320 converts in such a way that jumptrilling isn't the most reliable approach, but regardless certainly not comparable to Skeletor imo. Though I might bump up DM for the handstream density despite being such a slow and pretty manageable bpm.
