    Difficulty expansion/changes

    If you were observant, you'd notice that there are some files in the 91-94 range were bumped up. We're in the process of expanding the difficulty spectrum a little more (we're planning to change 88-91 as well), since the difficulty range from 91-99 is rather exponential more than linear, so here's a list of changes that we did so far:

    DeVouR: 88 -> 87 
    Phi-dentity Crisis: 86 -> 87
    Umbral Ultimatum: 86 -> 85
    Molto Vivace: 85 -> 86
    Go Beyond!! -Jazzy Mix-: 85 -> 86
    This isn't a complete list, there will be a couple more changes. FSO cutoff would probably be 93 with these changes.

    We're also planning to bump up/down tourney files like Valhalla and Eclipse (Luna), we'll get to them eventually. Feel free to discuss about the changes, whether you agree with them or not, whatever. Go nuts.

    We also bumped up Purple Drank and Cutthroat to 81.

                    So just as a clarifier then, difficulty translates to the average skill level needed to attain a AAA on the file.

                    Factors include:

                    1) Average NPS
                    2) Difficulty spikes
                    3) Length
                    4) Patterning
                    5) Stamina

                    Always keep in mind that files with a particular bias to them may seem much easier to some and more difficult to others contrary to the rating it was given.

                    As with anything, there are a few exceptions; Skeletor for instance is VERY difficult to AAA but rather easy to SDG. I would argue changing it's difficulty but maybe someone could explain why it will remain what it is.

                        So i guess this is a bad question, but the FSO range is now X-93 or 93-X? If so, what is the 93-99 range called now?

                          93-99 is FSO, the incredibly stupid 'For Stepmen Only' title that was given to files harder than FGOs

                          It doesn't make a big difference either way since we're (sadly) not using the 1-13 system anymore anyways. Eze was just stating that for reference.

                              I doubt it, but it's not a huge issue since we're not officially using FSO as an umbrella for that range in the engine.
