Avatar size

I thought the max avatar size was 200x200. can a higher-up look into this?

Wierd, i just checked mine and it still says the maximum is 200x200

You're looking at the wrong place. You're looking at the place in the forum settings, you want to change it from your profile. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...?do=editavatar
If you change profile styles, you'll see a link under your avatar that says Click to update avatar. If you click on that, you'll get that page. I forget how else to do it, that's how I did it.

it says my max size is 200x175, not 200x200

lol what maxghost is trying to explain to you is, if you say click on Private Messages then on the left click on that then it'll say 200 by 175. But if you click under your avi where it says to change it then it will say 200 by 200. One is for your Public profile and one for the other less known one. So it says both 200 by 175 and 200 by 200, but depending on what you click is what appears. lol

Notice how the picture is different than the one you see under my name on the left. That's because the avatar that is set in the editprofilepic location is used for the forum profile, which FFR has discontinued.



See how there are two links for profiles? They both go to the same place, your FFR profile. VBZ forums also provides users with forum profiles, which we don't use. We made both links go to the same place. So in essence, the link I posted up top sets an avatar for a profile nobody can see. Yes, it's redundant. This link is where you set your avatar for your FFR profile. The max size is 200x200.

I hope that clears up any confusion .

Also, notice how Yoshl's screen says 488.3 KB and not 97.7 KB, like on Chaz's screen.

I can't imagine what else it could be. But I can't imagine why those settings would be different for different usergroups in the first place.

EDIT: I checked a test account of mine that doesn't have any usergroups and it says 100x100 for editprofilepic and 200x200 for editavatar. It looks like usergroups do have a bearing on what appears there for some reason. Oh well. Since it's not really affecting anything, it's going to be a low-priority fix. The max avatar size is 200x200 and that's the biggest one people see so nobody is going to get in trouble because they saw incorrect numbers.
