Off sync
I just recently switched to Windows XP 64 bit since I couldn't find my Windows 7 copy and I was due for a reformat. Ever since I made this change, I can't help to notice that most of the songs I have been playing seem to be a little off sync. I do use a Standalone Flash player. Did anybody else have this issue?Tags: None -

Re: Off sync
I've seen some people use -4 on certain files (forget which ones). More often this is a problem with the program FFR uses to convert stepfiles made in Stepmania to a format that the game can use, but try it with a variety of files and see if you still get that problem.Originally posted by thesunfanI literally spent 10 minutes in the library looking for the TWG forum on Smogon and couldn't find it what the fuck is this witchcraft IGR

Re: Off sync
Well, I just recently figured out that it's not FFR but my whole computer itself. The sound is off sync to anything I do. Does anybody know a possible solution to this?Comment

Re: Off sync
Just follow igotrhythm's suggestion: change the song offset. Regardless of the source of the offsync (whether it's FFR, the computer, your keyboard's response time, the sound coming out of your speakers, etc.), you can fix this with the offset option in the settings menu (top right on the main game menu). A negative-value offset adjusts for arrows that arrive too late; conversely, a positive-value offset adjusts for arrows that arrive too early. After typing in the offset you want, click "set speed" on the top of the settings menu (I know this button corresponds to the scroll speed, but it also serves to physically set your offset as well). Now you're all ready.
Fiddle around with the offset until the song you're playing is in sync with the arrows.Comment
