    Problem with my arrows

So I have been having an issue for about a month or so now, and it is really getting frustrating.

Every now and again while I'm playing a song, one arrow may not get registered. However, the game will register me hitting my keys (so it will say I missed and give me a boo at the same time).

Before anyone says anything, it is not my speed mod (it is set at 1.925x) and it is not my flash player (I have downgraded to flash player 8).

Also, most of the arrows are getting registered - it is not like I start a song, and nothing is registered - so it just happens randomly.

Lastly, don't say it is me. I know when I hit the arrows and when I miss - especially if the song is a difficulty 7. I can FC those songs, yet I tried FC'ing one earlier and I missed one arrow of a jump (but I hit the other) and it gave me a boo for the arrow I missed.

If anyone can shed some light on this, I would appreciate it. I really want to get back to FC'ing easier songs.
So I've returned. Maybe I can stick around for awhile.

    Re: Problem with my arrows

It could be your key setup.

Try holding all 4 of your keys at once for like 5 seconds...and if it stops typing and/or starts making a beeping sound, that means your keyboard doesn't support those combination of keys being pressed at the same time.

Also, keyboards can randomly drop keys using certain setups, so try something different anyway and see if it makes a difference. If it happens with a few different setups that work, then it pretty much rules out the keyboard.

Although you said that it registers the press as a boo but misses at times, which would mean that your keyboard should be sending those keys...so it could be some odd lag/glitch that your computer is having. Does this occur on both the default and beta engines? Also, does this occur when you play FFR on your internet browsers? If so, I would suggest getting a different flash standalone version and test it out.

Foxfire's right. The only other thing it could be is the hardware itself (keyboard in this case). Could just have an old keyboard that just doesn't work as well as it used to, this stuff happens. Mine's getting that way itself and I've had it for 3 years now.

I highly doubt that it is because my keyboard is old (I've had it since last Christmas)

At one point, I did start to think it was my keyboard, but if it was my keyboard, I would've experienced the same issues on Stepmania. So far, no issues.

The issue I'm talking about does happen on both engines, but seems to happen more frequently on the beta rather than the original. And yes, it happens while I'm playing on a browser.

So I might as well start figuring out the standalone version.

EDIT: Using standalone now, it is working perfectly. This thread may now be closed.
