    Timing Offset!!

Well.... I've been playing stepmania for the last 2 months and I've gotten pretty good at it, but everyone knows that to hit a perfect in FFR you need to hit when the note is way higher than the receptor and if it goes a bit further than the receptor it's already a good.
Now, this system is really bad, in stepmania, the distance between the receptor and up and down in order to hit a perfect is the same.
I've gotten used to stepmania MA and now i can't PA in FFR because i hit the notes too late. What you could do in order to solve this is to implement a timing offset option.
Maybe this isn't possible cause perfects are judged by frames and not time or something, I'm not an expert in that, but if you want to survive and gain popularity, you have to upgrade the game, this game engine is like 8 years old, and has many failures that stepmania hasn't, such as lag and this timing-issue.
Please tell me if anyone is working on a new engine, and if you aren't, you should. Thanks. (you could also make a 6key-mod)

edit: i didnt know about velocity's engine, why isnt it official already ?_?..
