Song with freeze

Not sure if the rules changed but according to the tassel sticky (which was modified) it says explicitly no freezes.

Not sure if it is allowed but if it isn't just wanted to bring that to your attention.

a freeze is also known as a hold, an arrow that needs to be held down. The beginning of the song glithes, its not a "freeze"

The way FFR is build, IIRC, makes freezes impossible. And FFR is built around a No-Freeze style. So, I doubt they will ever be added.

Freezes are capable within the system. But will never be allowed.

He is talking about the BPM change or "freeze" in the frame at the very beginning. I believe it is the only one in the song. I thought it was buggy lag first time through it. Go play it and see for yourself.

The rule regarding freezes refers to the holding of an arrow, not the pausing of the song's bpm. Just some terminology mix-up, that's all.

I think he is mixing things up. The issue the in beg. of Uprock is a pause or lag spike due to the converter that was used for that file. Thats not a freeze like one in SM, its just a little bug in the conversion.

It might be fixed, but I don't really think it's that huge of a problem..

Got bored, think I completely fixed the stupid freeze problem for this level. Tested it all the way through on two different computers...the problem seemed to be that the blank frames before the actual song was at a rediculous number (65) while the actual streamsound data started immediately. This glitched it out and made the level freeze like that before starting the actual song normally.

What I did:
Rehashed the level and added 2 seconds of silence to the streamsound data. Seems to work sexy now...if they want the fix it's all theirs.

On the beginning of I'm Sick of Uprock, IT ALWAYS FREAKING LAGS. I can't AAA it - no way it's happening.

freezes show up as two arrows in FFR (one on the arrow, one on the release). Uber Rave v1 has freezes in it, but it works out to be an 8th stream

Yep that's why we recommend padding silence on the front of files that start right when the song starts. 2 seconds is as long as it takes for the "ready" text to go up.
