    Re: Replay saving

Bump, I find this to be important even more now that replays don't have avmiss. Please let us save 10-15 replays.

Is it that saving replays takes too much bandwidth/space?

No more than if you just kept deleting replays to save 10.

                Re: Replay saving

It would be nice to have more slots for saved replays, I mean...chances are that you'll have more than 5 good runs you'll want to save I could imagine.

I'm fairly sure all replays are is just text data about where the frames are placed (which I wouldn't assume is a super space consumer), so upping it to like 10 or 15 probably wouldn't be a problem. I'd love to be able to save replays and not have to choose which run I like more to save on my profile.

Actually on the subject of replays can we make it so that you can check a bunch and delete them? Because if you save a few you still can't hit delete all or you delete the saved ones and deleting a bunch one by one to keep the ones that you want kinda sucks.

Also I'll consider this once we have a new hard drive array installed. The replays table is huge as is and I dont' want to make it any larger atm.

Sweet! Also, I looked into it a bit, and I figured out how to succesfully save / load replays offline so that you may save an unlimited amount on your own PC. I just tried this out with the replay I am about to delete (which I don't want to because it's my first VC AAA...but a Night and Day AAA is far superior) Flying High [heavy]. Suprisingly enough it only took around 2 minutes to figure this out, but it uses an HTML debugging agent to replace the .php that SHOULD load with the saved on on the computer.

I could post a thread or something about it if quite a few people wouldn't mind saving the replays on their PC. I'm going to start doing this for replays I want to keep until the admins have the ability to increase the amount on the server on FFR.

PS: No, they don't take up much space. My flying high [heavy] file takes up only 13kb, so imagine how little it takes up for shorter files. So space isn't an issue when saving a bunch of them on your computer.

Load a replay and save the replay code in the score screen on your PC, infinite replays.

Basically the same thing, probably takes slightly less time. Do this. Although replays need to be loaded via the velocity engine instead of the replay page, no differences otherwise.
