Erm... So stand alone player is slower than firefox..., but faster than chrome... wut?

    Conclusion: Flash sucks?

Edit: WAIT HOLD UP. I just played again in the stand alone player and did not get an inch of lag, on full quality at 32 bit... what the hell? (Cold Breath)

(I think it might be song specific)

      Re: new version?

      That's strange...

I don't think it has anything to do with it being song specific. That makes no sense at all. Might have something to do with FFR using an ancient flash code that doesn't support newer flash players.

        Re: new version?

No there are some songs that definitely lag more than others.
I've gone through two songs now, without a spot of lag... When maybe 20 minutes ago, I could not play at all because of the lag.

          Re: new version?

I've never noticed this but if that's the case then it might have something to do with either the length of the song or that the file you played was a really old file. Not sure if this will work but try refreshing your cache and reload a song that you were lagging on before and see if you still lag.

Also, if you still lag then i have came to a conclusion that flash code in the FFR engine sucks.

              Sure that works too...

Still, I'm rather pleased by the newer codes in flash nowadays.

                Re: new version?

It would be interesting to see how the FFR engine would be if all of the code was upgraded/optimized to the current versions of everything.

That would also be a whole pile of work. :S

                  Re: new version?

Haha, I'm quite interested of that myself. The game would run faster, there would be more features they could add within the code for better user play, the FPS will be higher, the game will look so sexy and it will support HQ.

Of course, you would need a huge team of flash coders that are getting paid by Synthlight for that to happen. I'm sure he had that thought in mind once but he knows that it probably won't happen now.

                    Re: new version?

Hell, if I knew how to code in Flash I would do it. I'm currently learning how to program now, so maybe in a year or so I can give it a try if no one has. :P

But yes, seeing FFR reprogrammed to run in 30 and 60fps would be nice. :]
Although Flash seems to have tearing issues at 60fps. :[

FFR is programmed to run in 30fps. 60fps offers no better performance compared to 30.
