I have to stress that if you want to contribute to FFR, the last thing I would suggest is an adblock plugin. Ads and subbies are the only way we can afford to keep up with our bills.

I have removed all but 1 ad block (left of game) and replaced all of them with a single test for a 24 hour period. Please clear cache and all that and please let me know if you continue to have problems.

I will remove the rogue ads, you have my word.

Kaspersky Internet Security is doing a good job--but it could be that since I'm a subby, I'm not getting attacked at all. Maybe I should log onto one of my non-sub accounts and see what happens?

Are the ones that are supposed to show you an ad before navigating to a new page (the ones that cover your screen and ask you if you want to skip the ad) supposed to be removed too?

I'm a subbie so unfortunately, I can't help much with this situation as I'm not seeing what's happening. What I do know is that you can try and report this website to the Federal Trade Commission. Their website is http://www.ftc.gov/ and you can report the website at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

I've been navigating around the site for a while and I haven't experienced any problems. I don't know--maybe it was some random occurrence? I can't tell you anything because I haven't been redirected at all, even on this non-sub account. =l

Meh--either way, I guess it wouldn't matter now that all of them are disabled.

*shivers* The horrible memories of AVG...That thing killed my previous computer. I spent around 4 minutes killing the ads that came up every 2 seconds. I used to have Avast! Antivirus and it did a good job on everything. I believe it started from one virus and that made a gate for AVG to come through. It creeped in my computer for about one month and started to attack shortly after. It just slowly ate away the computer's memory and then it just shut down...

Currently, I'm using Trend Micro and I have yet to have any issues with any virus or malware. I also tested the site (unknowingly) without being logged in. I didn't get any ad problems, either. Might depend on the virus protection programs...or bad luck with ads.

Just be sure to get rid of AVG the fastest you can, or your computer could turn into my dead one.

The only place I've ever been redirected on this site was in my OM inbox. Well, the main page of the forums, too, but still.
