i think thats pushing it too far. theres no need for all those icons. who needs all those icons. all its gonna do it cramp up the bars and make things more difficult to read

How about selectable icons? Maybe the FC/AAA icons could be standard and the others you could select from the settings menu?

Why don't you just make only one icon viewable. I mean, honestly if you AAA'd you OBVIOUSLY FC'd it. I mean c'mon. but with the BF's and WF's it'll be a bit different. But, say you do BF it or WF it, then the FC icon can disappear or something, since you obviously already FC'd it to get the BF or WF.

my idea was 100c, 500c, 1000c, FC, SDG, BF, AAA. that makes 7.

i think we could make "BF" be anything where you have 1 good and 0 averages on a FC (aka, any number of boos) or 0 goods, 0 averages on a FC (booflag or multiple booflagage).

this is all what we're striving for... but the first step is a) get all data added retroactively. b) get better graphics made... if anyone wants to make some gfx, we're more than willing to not give you anything for the trouble.

The way the beta is set up, I think it'd be nifty if we just said to hell with the icons, and we just changed the color of that song's panel. wf can be white, bf can be black, I don't really care, I just think it'd look a lot sexier. I can't say whether that's significantly more irritating to code or not.

In fact, in place of the icons, you could put your best combo / total arrows.

It isn't like this? This is only logical. FC would be your basic icon, and once you get the SDG it just replaces FC. Then BF and AAA.

Also, how about a "clean FC" icon? Just checks for 0 Average, Miss and Boo. I'd be interested in whether or not I'd cleaned up my FCs if I had lots of levels played and hadn't really kept track of them. Plus, I think of a clean FC as an indicator that you can actually play the level well, even if the clean FC is 50 Good on a VC or something. I think clean FCing something is a milestone of progression, not just a checking point.

Sounds like something that would make my eyes bleed. I like the icons. Just my two cents though.

Well, I was thinking more of a subtle tinting, not a full blown "make your eyes bleed" color shift.
