    Color mapping.

Idea popped into my head after seeing gnr's CCCP file on FFR, it looks pretty damn hard, and part of the reason is because of the colored bursts, having it setup for all notes red or something seems like it would make reading that file a whole lot easier (also stuff like Eradication/Intergraation).

Color mapping, as in allowing us to change type of note is what color.
I'm not asking for us to be able to change the color of notes that aren't already in game, just change say the 4th note to the 24th note (well replace red to pink in the text file) and such. Being able to change something like blue to white or some other color might also help people out greatly with those old files that are all blue notes as well.

I guess you could add a separate tab onto the settings page considering there's pretty much no place to add this if you were to implement it.
Idea for having it setup as such:
    4th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
    8th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
    12th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
    16th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
    24th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
    32nd [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
    48th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
    64th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
    ??? [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]

    Re: Color mapping.

    Hmm. That's pretty interesting.

Wouldn't the older songs end up being color mapped too though? I know you said that you weren't changing the color of the arrows in the song file itself, but wouldn't assigning colors to certain snaps of the chart get rid of the all blue note charts? Just wondering, under the basis of your idea.

      Re: Color mapping.

FFR files are setup as such, frame the note falls on/direction/color, so the older files color would just change to whatever you have the 8th note color set to. FFR doesn't read files as 4th/8th/12th or anything, so changing the color of the 4th note wouldn't make the 4th notes on a blue note file a different color. The DWI converter they use simply just makes 4ths red, 8ths blue and so on.

      So pretty much, this:
      4th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      8th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      12th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      16th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      24th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      32nd [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      48th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      64th [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      ??? [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]

      Would really be this:
      Change red notes to > [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      Change blue notes to > [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      Change purple notes to > [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
Change yellow notes to [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      Change pink notes to > [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      Change orange notes to > [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      Change cyan notes to > [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      Change green notes to > [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
      Change white notes to > [Red | Blue | Purple | Yellow | Pink | Orange | Cyan | Green | White]
