What's this all about?

Is the timer bar a feature that tells you how far into a song you are? If so, I don't think it's necessary... just causes you to build up tension towards the end and mess up. However, if the timer bar was to be used for skill token/contest purposes, I don't see a problem with this feature.

Moreover, when was this idea announced?

If you can do some simple math and just find the amount of arrows in the song, can't you just use that as a time signature of your game? That's what I do.

Make it an optional feature for 3rd style.
Also make the option to turn of combo display for 3rd stlye.
