    Locking your own thread

Here is my suggestion, I believe you should be able to lock your own thread if you want to prevent people from posting on it.

If a supporters list is necessary, please let me know.

Definitely will not happen. Why would a user have to lock his own thread? Ask a mod/admin if you really want your thread locked.

(@Vanilla: ) I agree. This could prevent people from embaressing themselves when they post in a wrong section or decide that the topic is getting out of hand. The mods shouldn't have to clean up everything. I think it's a great idea.

Edit: it should only be applicable for like the first few posts though. Once a topic gets started it could be potentially annoying if the starter locked the thread. (People may like the topic.)

, but some things you cannot do without messing with vB code, and the admins have already stated that they will not mess with the vB code. Giving all members one ability out of the numerous stuff that admins/mods have seems rather tricky.

Ah. I guess people should just pay attention or make up their minds before posting then lol.

hey, I wish you could lock this thread yourself to save the mods the trouble.

              Re: Locking your own thread

If it wasn't someone who just wants this feature for the purpose of hiding his/her thread from the staff member because of how wrong he/she is that was suggesting this idea, I would agree.

              So, I don't agree.

EDIT: If you learned your mistake, you wouldn't've made this thread. Besides, from what I read, you didn't read the forum rules yet. You didn't get banned. You said you'd read the rules when you get banned, so until then, you won't read it.

EDIT2: You still haven't apologized. You're the first person I disdain to the point of tracking you. Also, this thread is very conspicuous.

EDIT3: If I get banned, then so be it. I at least know and understand the consequences of doing this. I still believe it is worth doing for the purpose.

                Re: Locking your own thread

I could just see smitty locking FFR scores rofl.
Also, this idea makes sense people, think, there are tons of newer members that have made a new thread just to ask a question, then 2 seconds later without an answer, they post again saying I understand now/I know how to do whatever now. Also a lot of threads turn into flaming after the main purpose of the thread fades, such as that turbulence score thread that SD and rubix started arguing in...

Although, I do believe only mods should have this feature, if you need/want it locked, just contact someone, I don't see much good or a need for this feature.

Why the hell do you follow me everywhere on the forums? Could you leave me alone? Geez.. and that's not the purpose, I admitted I was wrong, but you just kept on proving my point over and over again.. and you cannot stop buggin me about how wrong I am.. I GET IT, Get over it, I made a mistake, big deal.. now stop buggin' me and move on..

This won't happen unless implemented into VB... which is out of our control.

No one is following you through out the forums, its called being active.

Theres no way this is going to happen nor needs to happen. If you type something stupid theres an edit button, and if you make a dumb thread then you should just actually look before you press the post button.

PS - you should not be creating threads that you want locked in the first place. Think about what you post before you do it... and maybe you won't come across in a negative manner.
