Multiplayer glitch?

Twice now, I have seen this:
I go into a room with one person to play a few games against them, but when I enter, they are in the middle of a song. So I leave to find a new room to play in. But I then notice that my MP bar is slightly lower...it turns out that I received a loss for a song that I didn't even play. I completely got screwed over this situation. Is this a glitch, or a programming error that was never fixed?

Don't leave, wait.
Or next time, enter as a viewer. But just remember, if you want to play the person inside the room after they are finished with the song, don't "Join Game", re-enter from lobby to avoid in-game Glitch.
