did i lose the most here? i lost 4k. it took me several hours to get those credits. i do spend many hours a day on this site anyway. however, i dont want those several hours to go to waste. hopefully this issue will be fixed.
IF I CAN CLIMB A TREE, I CAN CLIMB MT EVEREST. IF I CAN DRIVE A CAR, I CAN PILOT A SPACE SHUTTLE. IF I CAN PEE, I CAN BE THE PRESIDENT. IF I CAN POO, I CAN RULE THE WORLD!
if you weren't aware, for the 2nd time that i know of, somehow everyone on the site was boosted to 8.3 million credits...
now, unfortunately, there are only 3 solutions to fix the problem:
1. leave everyone at 8.3 million credits, capped, making credits worthless. doesn't seem like the best idea.
2. re-set everyone to 0 credits. bit harsh... highly unfair... don't think the users would like this. not the best idea.
or
3. rollback credits to the last backup we did, which was about 24 hours prior to the max'd credits. easiest fix. fair to everyone... and we have a precedent of doing this. not to mention, almost every website/game ever has had to rollback at some point or other for various reasons. this is the 3rd rollback in FFR that I know about. the last one was also just for credits, for the same reason. the 1st was around January 07, and we had to rollback 8 days. 8 days for everyone... for everything. people lost not only their credits, but all the new scores they got in that period. it was not pretty.
moral of the story: we do the best we can. we're sorry we had to rollback your credits a day. it isn't the end of the world.
