    Quickload Pack (Non-Subscriber Thread)

It would be awesome if we were only required to download the FFR music once. So how can we enable this? Well, an Administrator could put together a package of all the music on FFR, encoded for Copywrite protection, and put it up for download. The FFR game could then detect this file, allowing almost instantaneous level launch.

    PROs:
    -Instant load times
    -Less Bandwidth usage
-Schools less likely to block the site. (Due to low bandwidth)
-Less likely to bug freeze Multi-Player. (Due to no downloading of songs)

    CONs:
-Difficulty of making a file that couldn't be hacked, the music then being spread around without permission from the artists.
-Large download all at once. (Instead of spread out)
-Constant updating due to new songs constantly being added. (A patch system would be needed)

    THIS WOULD BE OPTIONAL.

    Quick Launch Steps:

    1.

    2.

    3.

    4.

But keeping in my that it's an MMO... This is more of a precaution for schools and workplaces banning FFR. But it would also serve as a quick load i guess.

I actually don't like the idea because of one thing. FFR requires no downloads to play, no nothing. I don't want it to get complicated. And alot of people from myspace come to the website and get straight to playing and they're hooked. Alot less people would be using the game right now if it required a download. If this was a choice... I love the idea.

Why would it be required? That would be retarded... I meant that this would be an OPTION, especially if your at school and you don't want to download anything.

Good idea, but the negative consequences outweigh the good.
especially when it comes to Artist permissions.
                one hand, no mercy...

If they were to make a stand-alone application, they should also create better frame rates.
