[Suggestion] Intermediate Skill Token Month.

Ok so, The first amount of skill tokens we had gotten, Many of them were for very very skilled people. (all the tokens that havn't even had 1000 people get them).

They're were many intermediate ones, but not that many.

Then came the Begginner Month. Those were just ridiculously easy tho. Even my mom who's only played this game twice before, could get those tokens.


So I suggest an Intermediate Skill Token Month.

The skill tokens will be the difficulty of these one you currently see that have only been obtained by 1000-4000 people. Mainly skill tokens from songs that are in the 5-7 Difficulty range.

Not easy, But not insanely hard.

Anyone else think so?

Edit: In all honesty, though, I don't think there should be another token-month event until they implement a scroll for the token sections on the profile.

And having a regular token event would just be ridiculous. Let's face it, skill tokens are a lot more funner and satisfying to get, and there are MANY places on the internet where people post the locations of the regular tokens; over half the people will just use those places instead of actually finding the tokens theirselves.

Hmm...I think that 90 skill tokens is plenty for now. They emptied out the queue pretty solidly doing Skill Token and Beginner Skill Token months, to the point where they had to actually ask people to please make more easy songs so they had enough to -do- the beginner month.

Give some time for the queue to build back up to where they can support it in addition to songs of the week, normal tokens, etc. and it might not be a terrible idea.

But then...at this point "Do barely okay at easy songs" is good for easy tokens, and most of the variations on skill that aren't anti-skill tokens have been well-used on existing tokens, all there would really be would be more "Do X on song A,B,C in a row" tokens and "Just do really good on X" tokens, which shouldn't really be tokens, since that's what you're supposed to do anyway.

Get a AAA on Super Mario, Trip to the Moon, Seattle's Finest, Dance 2 This, Excite Bike and Halcyon in a row to unlock "Not being a beginner anymore"

I don't mean right now, But in the future, The next time they're going to do a skill token type month lol.

I'd just really like to see a lot more fun skill tokens for my playing level.

The other problem is skill token saturation. Yes, you want to see more skill tokens right this minute that you can get right this minute, but at the same time:

1/ The purpose of non-august skill tokens is also to give you incentive to improve
2/ 90 tokens for those who have most/all of them fills up an already crowded profile
3/ Every song that is a skill token song is one more song that not everyone can try

They're a great idea, and I think almost everyone enjoys that they exist, but then, imagine if the entire game were "skill tokens" where you started only able to play one song, and doing something specific on each one is what opened the next.

Obviously we have enough songs that such a thing would never be the case, but when you've already got close to 115 songs that you have to do something special to be able to play (and there are what, 288 public songs?) that's fully 29% of FFR not being playable by a brand new account, you really need to be careful that you don't overdo it.

Edit: Wow, more needs to be unlocked than I had figured just then.

115 (skill/token) 12 (purchased) 28 (secret) = 155 that need to be unlocked out of just over 400, so closer to 40%

Did you not read what I just said XD.

I didn't say RIGHT NOW. This is just a suggestion for the future. If they ever do a skill token month again, For it to be more towards intermediate/challenging players.

I don't support this. Seems too periodical and boring.

I know during the first month I said to myself every day," Oh God, two more to get..."

And during the second month," Oh God, gotta play those crap easy songs again"

This would be," Oh God, gotta play this song again..."

It's much easier to release them randomly and without a given date.

That way I would say something like, "Yes, FFR isn't being boring again."
