Hello,
I have checked the first couple of pages to see if my suggestion has already been made, but I couldn't find any similar posts. In case I missed something, I apologize for bringing up a familiar suggestion.
After noticing that I got lower scores on tries I would classify as better than other attempts, I looked for the score calculating system and tracked down the 'problem': your highest combo is multiplied with 1000. While I agree that combos need to be encouraged, I'm not sure if this is the best way. The effect of only rewarding the highest combo is that I get a higher score for mashing my way through a song, FCing it, than for doing it accurately with a high PA but breaking my combo by missing one or two arrows in the middle of the song.
My suggestion is to add another parameter to the equation, awarding points for every combo. That way, if your combo is interrupted, you still feel like doing your best to get another high combo. As it is now, when my 500 combo breaks on a 1050-step song, there isn't an incentive anymore to combo the rest (well, as a byproduct of a good PA I might get a nice combo, but it won't give me any additional score as it is roughly equal to my earlier combo).
