Saving profile settings

When I try to save my profile settings I get this message:
"There are no subscribed threads to display in this folder for this time period.".
Why is that?

You just get redirected back to the subscribed threads page when you save your profile settings, it's normal.

They should be getting saved, are they not?

They don't get saved. If they would, I wouldn't post about this.

EDIT: Never mind! It just showed the changes late.
