NEW IDEA!

I know FFR community just got a new genre in R1 but i just had an idea for another genre. I was thinking that a Tournament genre would be cool. I was just playing DDR on my controller and did a tournament and thought that it would be good for overflowing songs like if we have way a lot ready to be accepted. The tournaments would have 3-(_) songs in the tournament and to AAA it you would need to AAA the whole tournament. Mods PM me.

Because we already have enough that it takes quite a while to go through all of them once for every song I want to play.

ehh..... adding genres is a big pain in the butt... this really doesn't seem like a solid enough reason to add a new genre, given that the concept for it in the first place is a pain in the butt.

Regardless of the way he put forth the idea, I would say that an in-game format for tournaments isn't a terrible idea. Perhaps a separate section of the game for "tournament mode" like MP has a separate section.

Maybe you could choose what 3 songs you want to do in tournament mode, then go through them?

I'll try to give some commentary on what I think he means:

He's commenting on the fact that we recently had Skill genre added, or maybe he just means tokens in general. Either way, what I assume he's getting at here is along the lines of "we got at least one new genre, let's add more new genre".

By "Tournament genre" he really means like a course or nonstop mode or something like that. He thought of this idea by playing the very same feature in DDR.

The tournaments would have 3-(_) songs in the tournament and to AAA it you would need to AAA the whole tournament. Mods PM me.

He's saying that courses would be made up of 3 or more songs. In addition, he let's us know that a AAA on the course would only be a AAA if the whole course was AAA'd, but this is irrelevant since FFR doesn't have a grade ranking system. He finishes up his post by asking a mod (or perhaps he means admin) to PM him, probably to discuss this idea further, because likely, he won't be coming back to this thread.

Ah, that helps, thanks. That brings me back to what I said. That oneself could create your own course by selecting three songs, then playing to them in sequence.
