    Dragon Force

I dont know if there is a thread for this but if there is please just post the link and disregard this post, but if there is then please read and tell the guys at FFR wut u think. I think that some of the Dragon Force songs like Fury of the Storm, Operation Ground and Pound, and Through the Fire and the Flames, just to name a few, should be in FFR. Please speak your mind and if come here and flame just know this, it doesn't bother me. So good luck with that.

Okay, go ahead and get us permission. Only then will we be able to make stepfiles and put them up onto FFR.
That's cool Mario, but how come whenever you eat mushrooms, everything gets bigger but your dick?

No, we cannot use (insert popular song by huge artist here)

      Sorry, but no.

Many people ask this, and it gets kinda frustrating, so I thought I would make this.

It is a great suggestion to get a really cool popular song that everyone knows, however it's not usually possible. In order to use any song on FFR, we have to get permission from the artist of the song. If they say we can use it, then w00 h00.

However, most popular bands and such want royalties, and sometimes it's not up to the individual artist, rather it is the recording company that makes decisions such as these. If you can get in contact with a recording company and get permission to use their songs, then congratulations! But sorry, it is EXTREMELY hard without paying any money.

Uh, I think we can write it for you. We have experience in this kind of thing.

Getting one of us to write it, however, may prove to be a difficult task.

If you decide to write it, it has to be professional. You can't just write 'lol can i hav ur music?". You'd be representing FFR after all. Which is why it's better if we write it.

Unless you have the ins with the band, of course.

                Re: Dragon Force

I recently sent out a couple of letters to some bands. I asked Rebirth for his template, but since he really only asks people who are familiar with DDR, I just wrote my own. Here's the gist of it:

First paragraph: who I am, whom I represent (FFR), what it is that I want (permission), and a very brief explanation of what that is (flash-based DDR clone, etc.).

Second paragraph: Why they should be interested (huge traffic to their song(s)).

Third paragraph: More detailed request, specific song request (if not requesting an entire library), and why I chose that song/band to put into the game.

Fourth paragraph: More reassurance of how FFR won't make money off of them and will respect their wishes.

Closing, contact information, links of import.

                --------Separator----------

Fan praise, both because I'm a fan and to show them that I'm not some drone; reassurance of the fact that their music is desired.

if people here really wanted, I've made a few MIDI versions to some Dragonforce songs on Power Tab. If anyone could convert them to MP3, I think they'd be allowed to go on FFR since it's my own interpretation of the song...

And they aren't total crap either. They have every instrument in them except drums, they even have keyboard.

                    Re: Dragon Force

well if you guys would like to write the thing yourselves be my guest, i also like Wavanova's idea. We could see what he/she has problably send it to one of the people here in charge of ffr. Let me know what you come up with. They are also having a live chat on the 16th of March, I will try and get into or maybe a person who is in charge of FFR can and ask them about.
