I've had this idea for a long time now.
Basically, omeone speaks, introduces you to the game, and explains the concept of the game and how to play it. Introduces the basics; to start, single notes, then doubles. Then perhaps a string of 5 fast notes, that the player will most likely miss. Then explains the concept of missing notes, and failing. It's in the game window, without music, just someone talking and introducing the player to the basics. Kind of like the Guitar Hero tutorial.
Can possibly introduce some terminology with examples, too, such as jacks, trills, etc. Nothing too complicated.
Then perhaps at the end, the person reads off a few good starter songs and where to find them.
Good idea, bad idea, old idea, impossible idea?
