Now granted, I don't have much say considering I've only been here for a short amount of time, but I'm a sucker for things like this so I need to suggest it.
When I first joined FFR, I went for the obvious choice of trying to get the username Timo. It's my username on various other online games and forums, so I figured why not try it? Unfortunately, this username was taken, so I went with a less used name.
Recently, I decided to look up the username Timo however, to see if I could message him and maybe MP with him or talk to him. What do I come to find? The username Timo dates back over 3 years, only played 3 games, and never posted in the forums. It is an absolutely dead account.
Granted, I enjoy knowing that there have been 1,094,000 accounts created, it confuses me as to why we'd keep accounts that are blatantly no longer used. I for one would enjoy myself more (just with the way I am) if I had the original Timo account.
I was just wondering if there was any way of perhaps getting rid of any accounts that were just created and dumped. Maybe scanning lack of activity for six months and removing those? Or even an entire year. It would tell the number of members more accurately and maybe allow more original names to actually cause an impact, rather than someone having to settle for an obscure name they could possibly never remember.
