(left, down,numpad 8, numpad 6) is spread format, not screen shrinking. screen shrinking is where you cut your screen so you can only see half of it. Gives you better PA for people who are used to faster scrolling
Spread is when you spread your hands apart instead of having them on the arrow keys. You put your left index and middle on two keys such as Q and W and then your right index and middle on two other keys such as 8 and 9 on numpad. There's a guide somewheres to show you how to map different keys.
