Random Song Selector

Ok I have a suggestion for FFR. How cool would it be to have a "random" button, that chooses a song for you? Instead of scrolling through trying to decide on a song...is this possible? I think a lot of people would like this option in the game......

I personally wouldn't like it. If you have two very skilled players in multi-player and one of them presses the "random button," then you may end up playing some ridiculously easy song like Trip to the Moon. If you press it again, the same thing could happen and it would just end up being a pain. I suggest to simply pick a song. How hard is it to choose a song?

If you have a random button it doesnt mean that you have to press it. You can choose to use it if you want. It would just be there for people who just want to mix it up once in a while.

I personnally like this idea, I think it would be fun but i don't know how easy it would be to make... doesn't seem too hard. Good thinking

How about for multiplayer make the two people have the same song if they choose a random selector.

i doubt it is possible, given my knowledge of how ffr is coded (which is limited).

UGH FFR is coded so stupidly. Every suggestion gets turned away because FFR is coded wrong. Why couldn't you have thought of that in the first place.

kent: you try coding in flash. it isn't exactly like coding a regular .exe program. MUCH harder... MANY more limitations.


add to that... the original game was coded about 4 years ago. there have been a ton of advances from macromedia to Flash as a whole... some things are possible now that just weren't possible 4 years ago. AND when the game was coded there were hundreds of users, not hundreds of thousands... and about 12 songs, not 150+...

hell, the entire interface was already changed once, which is why this is 2nd style. basically EVERY desire that the users want will be dealt with for 3rd style. we just must all have patience... this stuff takes a long long time to do properly.

Maybe it would be better to have a random easy button, a random normal button, and a random hard button. Then people like me would actually use it. I don't think it would be worth the effort to implement it, though, even if it is possible, which I don't even know if it is.
