Bigger combo = WIN???

I don't like how I "LOST" because of this:

My score on Delirium:
1002 perfects
69 goods
2 avreage
5 miss
6 boo
434 combo

Opponents score:
675 perfects
325 goods
76 average
2 miss
62 boo
717 combo

Ok the guy I was facing just depended on combo, and he "WON"! I worked hard for getting that much perfects while gets over 4 times as much goods as I did, about 2/3 of the amounts of perfects I had, and had WAY MORE BOOS! How the heck did this guy win???? Edit: Sorry I typed in 6 instead of 7 for the guys max combo

Plus this encourages other people to button mash songs and get WAY higher combos and win! You dont win if your combo is only a bit bigger, but by hundreds you win even with bad amounts of perfects!

1) Don't double post.
2) Changing the scoring system would require tons of work. I'm pretty sure that the scoring system for 3rd Style will be MUCH different (possibly MAX2 scoring setup).

right now it bases pretty much on combo and a bit is the PA.
Nice PA though.

Scoring is like this in almost every music game (Everyone that I play at least, and I play a lot of music games.)

PA is secondary, your first priority should be to hit all the arrows, no matter how off. THEN you work on PA.

I thought it was like...Your combo x1000 + Your accuracy points or something. Or maybe that was and old scoring system.

Yes, your max combo gets multiplied by 1000 and added to your base PA score at the end of the song.

For now, that's the way it is.

The game and community was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY different than it is now when Synth originally put up FFR. As the community evolves, so does the game. When the appropriate time comes, the scoring will most likely be addressed in future versions.

I've noticed that the higher your combo, your score gets piled on higher and higher. Thats probely why.

this is the formula for scoring:

Combo*1000 + Perfects * 550 + Goods * 275 + Averages * 55 + Boos * -20 + Misses * -310.

As you can clearly see, every note of combo is worth almost twice as much as the max PA for that same note. So yea... Combo > PA in FFR R1 2nd Style.


Who knows what mysteries 3rd Style will bring.
