Annoying MP problem

I joined a room in MP today and the guy was in the middle of his song but there was nobody else there. He still kept on playing and I didn't feel like waiting so I left. Then, when I checked my stats it showed I lost against him because I "quit". Losing like that is cheap and really really irritates me. How can I prevent this from happening again?

PS - Is it possible to have that loss wiped off my record?

not possible... and the solution? well, the only one is to play the song before he ends, then finish and win.

sucks, yea... we know. i've had it happen to me before, once. only quit loss i have ever had, and my only loss in my last ~50 MP games.

If you play the song, you risk getting stuck in the score results screen, which isn't something you want.

The better solution is to simply wait until he or she is finished. Then the game simply won't register at all, and you'll be free to play each other afterwards.

that wasn't true for me either. in my case... i was in a room, the person entered... then they started a game without me agreeing to it (somehow)... then they finished. THEN i left, before they exited the results screen. and i got a "quit"

on the other hand, i had the exact same situation... although once their game started, I went and started the same game. then I won, only I got stuck in the results screen. When they finally left, the game didn't record at all.

There are all kinds of weird things that can happen in MP.

Basically, to avoid any of these things, refrain from starting a song while the other person is already playing it.

The unavoidable one is where you're playing with someone, then they quit, and someone else comes in and starts. Then you just have to wait for them to leave, which can be really annoying.
