Multiplayer Problem

While playing multiplayer, my computer crashed and I had to restart it manually. When I tried to log back into multiplayer, it said I was already IN multiplay, even though I wasn't. My friend, who I was playing against, said I was still in the room. I can't get back into multiplayer. Please help?
