Cut Screen mode

Since it's common knowledge that reducing the screen's size helps some people to play better, why not just have a button in the options that cuts the play window to 3/4, 1/2, etc. when you go into a song rather than having to minimize and un-minimize your browser each time you want to select a different song? It's not really a big thing, just a convenience.

I say this because i'm under the impression that speed mods will not be released in 3rd Style.

That could help players if they need it, or just is too lazy to play the Lo-Res version of R1. (Actually, I think that's what the Lo-Res R1 is there for >_>)

Not a very good idea either.
Sure, everyone reduces their screen size, but it's to a different degree that everyone feels comfortable with.
I can't play with my IE window maximized, I couldn't do it even if I had enough room to cut off the screen by scrolling.
I can definitely not play unless I have a very small IE window, with the arrow box at the very top.
I seriously doubt what I am comfortable with is 3/4 cut, or whatever. It's more like 7/8. I leave just a very tiny amount showing before the arrows hit the top. Almost like blink in Stepmania.
I've seen screenshots where people have just a bit more than half ... I've seen people that use to the top of the combo, I've seen people that use just slightly more showing than I do. There is no select size that everyone is comfortable with, nor the majority. These things have to be done manually, and you will be a better FFR player for it.

The Lo-Res version of FFR is not for this, whatsoever. Have you looked at it? There is no relation between 'screen-cutting' and FFR lo-res.

I didn't mean to burst your bubble or put you down, I am sorry.
I'm only trying to let you know that this won't do much, if anything. :/ Only thing I see it doing is hindering the improvement of FFR players. =(

I wasn't suggesting just those 2 modes, they were just examples of something that could be possibly implemented. It's fine though, it's not a very big deal.

mmm how about instead of this just get speed mods? wouldn't that make more sense? I duno.. maybe I'm missing something.

ps. I play with my window cut about 3/4th of the way down.
